Joshua de Boer
Senior Project Manager, Associate
Joshua is a Senior Project Manager and Associate with Paradigm. Joshua is a certified engineer with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) as well as a certified Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) with the Transportation Professional Certification Board. Joshua’s typical day-to-day tasks include directing project workflow, communicating directly with clients, acting as a transportation expert, reviewing technical reports (both internal and external), developing offers of services for clients, and managing company operations.
Having been full-emersed in the transportation industry for over a decade, Joshua has been afforded the opportunity to experience a wide range of subject matters. Joshua’s current work mainly focuses on Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) cases, Transportation Impact Studies (TISs), peer review services, automated speed enforcement, road safety, and active transportation. Joshua also has an in-depth background in traffic signal timings, traffic and expressway management, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITE), Environmental Assessments (EAs) and other planning studies, road design, construction, and site inspection. Joshua works with both public and private sector clients across Ontario.
Joshua is an active volunteer and participant in various industry organizations, including the Transportation Association of Canada (TAC), Canadian Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) and the Ontario Traffic Council (OTC). Joshua has previously volunteered for the Ontario Bike Summit (OBS) and ITS Canada. Outside of the office, Joshua enjoys staying active, playing soccer and volleyball, as well as golfing and cycling. Joshua also enjoys playing music on both the piano and drums. His favourite books include On the Road by Jack Kerouac and The Power Broker by Robert Caro.
